About

Historian of political thought, my interests are in theories of "reason of state", early modern history, theories of democracy and democratic governance. I have been studying political conservatism in early modern English political thought and governance theories in the EU context.

My current researches are on English machiavellianism. I am also involved in the translation and introduction in Italian of the works by Henry Parker, political writer in the parliamentarian cause during the English civil war in 1640s.
